You ever wondered how to disable comments in wordpress? There are bunch of different reasons , why you would want to do it!
- Spammers. They are everywhere. All they are thinking while making comments on (in your opinion) important blog- how to make their blog popular. Well, that is one of the main ways, what every getting rich book says – create a comments in every possible blog.
- You are too shy to listen critics. sometimes you just want to say things without response.
- You are not intereted in other people’s opinion. I am not for sure. I am not writing anything here for somebody to say – ”this is cool’ or ” this is not good”. If something in here helps – thats good. If not – there are thousands of other blogs to go and look for information.
So enough talking, and back to work!
In default, wordpress allows other readers to create a comments.
What you need to do, is disable comments.
- On new posts:
Settings >> Discussion >> uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles”

On old posts
Posts >> select them all and “Edit” under bulk actions and hit apply >> choose “do not allow” next to comments and hit update posts
