Ever wondered How does it feels to live alone in the forest? We are talking about living in the forest , where are creatures like wolfs and bears. It is not the same as to live in the comfort flat alone. there you can play playstation, watch Tv , listen music. As we say – live a notmal lifestyle. Who cares , that you are alone in the flat -there are millions of people alone , even they living with somebody.
The story is about Victor, a 60 something old russian from Novgorod, who lives in the forest. He has been made hut in the middle of the nowhere. No electricity, no phones.
What does the guy do for all day? He works really hard to prepare for winter in summer. He grows fruits, sell them to people who are not so far around him. In winter he is bored and he is reading and writing.
This is the place I would stop and say – This guy is more popular by living in this wooden hut in the middle of forest than me living in the capital city. So many tourists are trying to access his hut , just to see this legendary old man.
If you would be living in Russia, you would know , that these type of people like Victor are many. There are hundreds of them living in forests. Some of them are dangerous, and some of them simply do not want publicity. So – it is very normal to live in forest in Russia.

Full story about Victor read in EnglishRussia.

Finally I watched the movie, that is probably the best of this century. It is the Tree of Life.
I done big mistake before i went to see the movie. I read the comments about , which sounded very different. There were people who said film is masterpiece and there were group of people who said film is just boring crap. To tell you honest, I was influenced by negative reviews, because i was expecting very well made movie. People Terence Malick , Brad Pitt, Sean Penn usually does not participating in bad movies.
Maybe the beginning was very slow. There were no action, no beautiful Megan Fox, and Fast and Furious cars. Not an typical Hollywood, when bad steals princess and good character does wonders to get it back. Not a love story , when girl is crying and guy is trying to calm her by telling that its just a movie.
4 evenings. That was a time, which was necessary to watch the film. the main reason – I felt asleep. In this time, it happened because the film was very peaceful. Sometimes I fall asleep , cause the film might be boring, as Wall street 2 or Sherlock Holmes. I felt asleep (imagine that). But classical music is the best sleeping pill and this movie soundtrack is mostly classical music.
Better music is only in Tarantino movies.
There is the question. What was so good in the movie?
It is the story from the eyes of the child. Starting from the time, when kids are born and till the time , adult is working in city (overcrowded) and feeling lonely. He is thinking , that something is missing in his life . He is not happy and there is reason for this. He remembers memories from the past and this is the main part of the movie.
Well, its very good to remember , at least for 2 hours, how good was when you were kid. The life was so easy.
The main idea about the movie is , that it pictures chilhood of kids in family. It is so similar of typical kid in any family. kindergardens, school, friends etc. There will be always expectations. When I was watching the film, I felt like time traveling, because my childhood was so similar. Definetally great feelings.
When reading reviews, I was very surprised, how many people changes- become materialists. They moan about spending 4$ for a ticket. they were expecting something better on Friday night.
Obviously , the Crisis is everywhere , but 4$ is not an excuse to write bad review about something you dont undertsand. Maybe it is better to watch soap operas.

Had a presentation this week. It was a biggest fear for me to stand in the front of the audience, even there were only 10 people. I don’t know many people, who are excellent on public speaking, and I am sure it is important to become one.
I read an article on Forbes about the gentleman Joel Osteen, who is one of the most influential speakers in America. I guess that’s mean a lot. There are 7 points , which , according to Osteen, you have to focus on before doing presentation or public speaking.

Theme. Usually people know what they will talk about way before preparing presentation. It is not like you are going to talk in the front of the audience nonsense. It could be Sales presentation, Latest business report or anything else.

Stories. Relate with audience. Tell them personal stuff, so they are thinking about you as a friend, not some robotic boring random guy.

Humor. I know from my experience that being serious is boooring. People dont like it. They are too busy with thinking their own serious stuff , that it is not advised to give them even more serious material. Obviously it cannot be comedy show, if its sales presentation, but some humor elements helps people to wake up.

Parallel sentence structure.End of sentence.

Practice, practice and again practice. It is all about trying to make it perfect. If its 5 minute presentation, it will take a day or two. It will be very average presentation, except if you are very experienced. To make a good presentation or speech – it take more than that. So it is not enough to write everything on the paper. You have to rehearse it.

No notes. This one is arguable , because some people are more confident, when they have note to look into. The main point, that Osteen says, is that you lose the contact with audience. It could be for couple seconds, but it matters.

Inspire your audience. It is all about positivity. We dont need all that negative that is all around, so why would you tell them. Give the inspiration.

I am sure, that these tips will help me to progress on public speaking, because I believe it is one of my main weaknesses, which I would like to change.

Today is saturday and it is a day when i cook. I almost never cook, except weekends. So i would call it very special day – days for surprises.
Before I will start to cook my favorite Ivo’s brownRice&oatmeal mix with Special beans , decided to clean a fridge. To be honest, it was very empty for a period of 1 year, since my brother moved to another place. I don’t like to buy products for all week in the same time. I prefer to go to shop more often, as its just 5 minutes walk from my house.

Back to the point. So I cleaned my fridge and found small bottle of Tabasco.
Tabasco is a very specific Spicy thing, what you use for different dishes to make them taste more delicious. I bought it quite long time ago to create a Bloody Virgin cocktail , which I liked it then.
Using fridge on everyday basis, I did not realise about Tabasco , and because i am not making coctails as often (except rum&ginger beer), I did not see it.
Today I decided to try to use it. How it will be together with food? As i never tried it, i was full with good expectations.
I entered search term ”Is Tabasco good for your health”. I was surprised about the results:

Tabasco has 0 calories. I is better than Tic tac , which get all famous because of 2 calories.

There is no salt or very minimal amount of salt. It is a good news , as most of spicy stuff contains lots of sodium and other harmful things.

there is studies about helping to fight metabolism. It burns calories.

The main thing is , that Tabasco is not a medicine, so as long is not harmfull, its ok to use it. I tried it.
I did add it to my food and i liked it at the first moment. I added it again and again. It was delicious taste , together with my magic food. After a while, I wanted to try it again, as I had those wonderfull feelings.
My conclusions would be:

Tabasco is like a drug. You start using it, and you cant stop. It is very addictive. Because it is good. And comparing with drugs, it is not harmfull.

Tabasco is hot. If its overused, it can burn your lips and you will feel unhappy.

I had those feeling about Tabasco, that it works as energy drink. I felt uplifted after I ate, which is unusual.

I will try this wonderfull product again and hope it will be one of my superchargers:)

You ever wondered how to disable comments in wordpress? There are bunch of different reasons , why you would want to do it!

Spammers. They are everywhere. All they are thinking while making comments on (in your opinion) important blog- how to make their blog popular. Well, that is one of the main ways, what every getting rich book says – create a comments in every possible blog.

You are too shy to listen critics. sometimes you just want to say things without response.

You are not intereted in other people’s opinion. I am not for sure. I am not writing anything here for somebody to say – ”this is cool’ or ” this is not good”. If something in here helps – thats good. If not – there are thousands of other blogs to go and look for information.

So enough talking, and back to work!
In default, wordpress allows other readers to create a comments.
What you need to do, is disable comments.

On new posts:

Settings >> Discussion >> uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles”

On old posts

Posts >> select them all and “Edit” under bulk actions and hit apply >> choose “do not allow” next to comments and hit update posts

Thats about it. Nice and easy.

Another new year is here. Time is passing so fast, I start to feel a little bit worried. I need to do so much:) I am joking, because its not so bad at all.
2011 was the best year of my life, I would say. It was full with fun, hard work, new experience, I applied to university after years of laziness, attended my favorite dj party ..and so on.
I finally started to develop thinking , that its me who is 100% responsible for all the things happening around me. I knew that before , but I had no balls to change the things. I was working for years a job, that was not really for me. I was not studying, because (in my head) i thought it will be too hard to combine it with work..This all sounds like a text from one of these guys , who gets lots of money for telling stories, that you have to believe and things are coming to you. Well, not really. You have to work hard , more than everything. and i dont mean hard physical work, but develop your thinking levels.
I made a list of the things I will focus on this year. I would not call them a goal, because word ‘goal’ makes me stress , since you have to achieve it. If you are not achieving it , you start felling bad about yourself , what is not what you want.
I would call this a list of ‘must do things of 2012′ . Its very basic stuff , which I’ve always wanted to do, but because of my time limit (2 jobs, university and some other useful activities) on 2011, I could not achieve.
So here it is:

To continue good level on studies. Discipline myself to do all the boring reading.

To travel. I done some minor traveling, but not enough. Want some more.

To listen more good music. I am not talking about switching on radio and listen some ‘bums bums’ type of songs, but some real quality stuff, like classical , jazz, or classical rock music. It helps me to remember the real meaning of music. It does not mean i dont like the modern op music. It just mean that I can not eat everyday sweets.

Exactly the same about the movies.

To get motorbike license. I am keep moving this one from one list to another, but it still one of my top priorities. It takes time.

To learn one language.

To keep smoking habit on very low level.

To become early riser.

To eat more healthy. I

To read more and quality books.

To stop watching news as much.

To stop using Internet for useless stuff.

To stop checking email as much

To write blog post at least twice a week

To meditate

To exercise more often. 10 minutes a day will be fine.

To learn yoga. There is something in yoga, that makes me feel ”woow”

To learn Buddhism principles.

To create my own cutom shirt.

To learn more about Sweden. I want to move there in near future

As you can see, there is lots of things , I want to achieve during this year. I am on my way.

So you want to become a vegetarian? Vegetarian is the guy who does not eat meat. Originally it’s mean to be skipping products from animal world. That’s the simple answer. There are vegetation types as Ovo vegetarian. It’s the person who eats eggs (product from animal world). How would you everyday egg sandwich? No chance.
After that there are Lacto vegetarian. Its the vegetarian who uses dairy products like Milk, cheese etc. It’s supposed to be skipped, because it’s all from animal world.
There are lots of benefits by being vegetarian, but it is so hard to follow all the procedures – what can you eat and which foods you are not allowed. Obviously there are some health benefits, what is the main reason why tons of people suddenly stop eating certain foods. The process is similarly to smoking. In 50′s everyone was smoking.
So what are those things, what you can eat for breakfast, if you are truly deeply vegetarian, without Ovo or Lacto weaknesses? Here are some Ideas. Hope it helps.

Starting from this week I decide to begin the Oracle training again. For those who dont know what is ”Oracle” , you can check here –>

My journey so far is not very impressive. I was doing Oracle 9i training about 4 years ago . I guess I was to lazy or maybe I had to many other interests. Then I was doing 10 g training. the end result was the same – possibly I did not had enough motivation. I even bough the books – the ones from Sybex :

X)OCA (Oracle 10g Administration 1) and OCP (Oracle 10g Administration 2)

so I had a books. I was doing hands – on training. I had a time. But I did not pass an exams. But why. the problem was that I was not interested to become Oracle guru. I did not wanted to sit 8 hours in office for 5 days a week and do something I dont enjoy. At least

It was then – 4 years ago. Today everything is different. I am motivated to read every single book about Oracle , just to become the master of the Oracle. I know it will take a time ( Have you read an article about 10000 hours ). But I am ready. Because I want it. I want to be a Oracle DBA.

I will start by reading ”Expert One-on-One Oracle” By Tom Kyte. This books has been recommended In many Oracle forums as the best book for beginners.
